Famous East African Footballers

Been doing some research ahead of the cup on East African football. So far found out Tanzania the 'Taifa Stars' have never qualified for the World Cup. That made me wonder about what football stars East Africa has. I have heard of the Weah's, Eboue's, Toure's of West Africa but are there any East African that have become stars on the World stage? (or played in England?)
